FAQ

Questions, answered

Everything worth knowing before you create your invitation — including the few things we cannot do yet.

Do my guests need an app or an account?

No. Share your invitation link in WhatsApp or a message. Guests open it in their browser and reply without signing in to anything.

What is a “full invitation”?

It is the whole design — every section that design ships with, as against the Save the Date edition, which is the same design cut down to the date, the names and the place. Designs differ: some open with six sections, some with fourteen. The exact number is on each design's page and in the Sections column of the pricing table, and you can add or remove sections in the editor before you pay.

How long does my invitation stay online, and what happens when the time is up?

Each design includes a set number of months online, shown on its page and in the pricing table. We email you before the time runs out. When it does, the link stops showing your invitation and anyone opening it sees a short notice instead — but nothing is deleted. Your design, your photographs, every RSVP and every blessing are kept, and renewing brings the same link back with all of it. You are charged for the extra months, not for the invitation again.

Can I use this for something other than a wedding?

Yes. Beyond weddings, the occasions on sale are birthdays, engagement & anniversary, baby shower & naming, corporate & events, pooja & ceremony and shop & business openings. These are small collections rather than large ones — the number of designs is shown beside every occasion, and for most of them it is one, so it is worth opening the one that fits before you plan around it.

Can I write my invitation in Hindi?

Yes. Write in Hindi, English or a mix of the two — every field takes either. Royal Maroon · Hindi also gives you a complete Devanagari starting point, so you are editing rather than translating.

How do I pay?

By UPI, from any UPI app, once. There is no card checkout and no subscription. The editor shows your final amount before you commit to anything, and the payment page then gives you the reference to quote and everything else you need.

How long does approval take, and what is being approved?

Every payment is checked by a person, and we confirm as soon as we have seen it. What that check confirms is one thing: that the payment you told us about actually arrived. It is not a review of your invitation — nobody proof-reads your spelling, checks your dates or approves your wording, and we do not hold an opinion on what your invitation says. If a payment cannot be matched you are told which of the usual reasons it was, in plain words, and your request stays open so you can correct it and send it again.

Can I get a refund?

There is a published refund and cancellation policy covering what happens before approval, after approval, and if something goes wrong on our side.

Can I change my invitation after it is live? Does the link change?

Yes, and no — you can change it, and the link stays exactly the same. Edit your invitation and publish again; the link already in your guests' messages keeps working and starts showing the new version. The same payment check runs on the new version, but there is nothing to pay if the price has not changed.

Can I choose my own link?

Not yet. Your link is made for you from your invitation's title plus a short code that keeps it unique — so it already reads like your invitation, but you cannot type your own. Once it is reserved it is yours and it never changes.

Can I download it as a PDF or an image for WhatsApp status?

No. An Amantrit invitation is a web page, not a file: there is no PDF, no image download and nothing to print. When you paste the link into WhatsApp it does show a preview card with your names and your design's artwork, but that card is part of the link, not something you can save and post on its own.

Where do my RSVPs go? Can I export them?

Every reply lands in your invitation's dashboard, where you can read them all in one place. There is no export: no CSV, no spreadsheet, no download. If you need the list somewhere else you will be copying it out by hand, and it is fair to know that before you buy rather than the week of the wedding.

Will I be told when a guest replies?

No. Nothing messages or emails you when a reply arrives — you will see new RSVPs and blessings the next time you open your dashboard. We do email you about your own invitation's payment and approval, but never about a guest's reply.

Is there a limit on how many guests can reply?

Yes, and a generous one: 1,000 RSVP replies and 2,000 blessings per invitation. That is sized for a five-hundred-name list with whole households replying separately, so a real wedding will not meet it.

Does music play on its own? Can I change the song?

It never plays on its own. Nothing makes a sound when the page loads — so opening your invitation in a quiet room, or in a meeting, is always safe. Music starts only when a guest taps: the music button, or, on designs that open with a sealed envelope and music (Pankhuri and Bahaar), the seal they tap to open it. The music button pauses it at any time. Where a design comes with music, the music is part of that design, like its artwork: you cannot upload your own track or swap it for a different one today.

Will my wedding details turn up on Google?

No. Every published invitation is marked “do not index, do not follow” for search engines, on every page and without anything for you to switch on. Your names, your venue and your dates never enter a search index, and an invitation that has ended does not either.

Can I password-protect my invitation?

No. Your link is unlisted, not protected: it is not in search results and not linked from anywhere on this site, but anyone holding it can open it, and anyone you send it to can forward it. For almost every wedding that is the right trade — but if your guest list is genuinely confidential, this is the honest limit to know about first.

Can you delete everything once the wedding is over?

Yes, on request. Nothing is deleted automatically — not at expiry, not later — so your invitation and its replies stay available to you until you ask us to remove them. There is a page that says what we delete, what we have to keep and how long it takes.

Something has gone wrong — how do I reach a person?

Payments here are checked by a person, so there is a person to reach. The contact page carries every way to get to us and what to send with an urgent message when your event is close.

Still curious? The best way to see it is to try one.
